just because they aren’t commercial and playing in the club doesn’t mean they have not made an impact
they are influencing a whole new generation of rappers who don’t particular like the 808s trap style and now feel vindicated to create the old school esque music they’ve always wanted to make
not to mention they came out of buffalo, a place where there is virtually no industry presence. they are also influencing thousands of kids to make it out the city, and possibly help them at that
