are you saying the main incentive to post good content is that people will copy/paste it into other threads? and why doesn't linking to a thread or post do the same thing?

I can only go by my experience. And no the main incentive to making a good post isn't for people to copy/paste that post. Just that having your post copy/pasted encouraged you to make good posts

The truth is we want to be acknowledged and it's not a coincidence that the only way to be acknowledged on ktt2 is by constantly making threads, and you have so many users making s*** threads to bait people.

This wasn't as much of an issue on ktt1 cause you could be acknowledged by simply making a good post, as that post would live on from copying/pasting

The only example I can give is that you have more M2s running around here than on ktt1. This s*** is all psychological bro

Also you could copy & paste quotes onto your profile. Here's an example from my profile on ktt1

These are examples of how quality posts "live on."

I think what op is getting at is the ability to physically see/copy/edit the text from the post you are quoting before you post it. Like on ktt1 you would click Quote, and then the actual text pops up in the post reply box, so then you can copy that quote and paste it elsewhere, or edit the text within the quote.
