If Sony / PlayStation didn't exist I would have given up on games after the GameCube / 360

They let all their FPS games and racing games and other stuff die cus they couldn't create a good one that sold well. The stuff like Killzone, Resistance, Modnation Racers, Motorstorm, Twisted Metal, etc

TLOPs aren't everything bro
it has better SSD bandwidth and next gen games pull assets straight off the SSD, so a worse SSD will effect frame ratesalso optimization matters far more than raw horsepower when the hardware is so close
the GPU is 15% slower and the CPU is basically the same and the PS5 has SmartShift tech that can overclock the GPU more when the CPU isn't being taxed
it also has a data compression ASIC built onto the motherboard that will be able to increase performance & storage
it offers more flexibility to developers that can optimize to itthe Xbox Series X will probably be a little better for Multiplats but Sony's exclusives will look better than anything on Xbox unless they step their game up
Sep 17, 2020Honestly, a lot of first party games are trash especially when they're rehashes or continuations of great games in franchises that don't offer any changes to the gameplay at all. Zelda, God of War, Last of Us, Mario 3D platformers, etc. are some of the exceptions.

Last Of Us is the only sony game I actually was able to play from start to finish.
Most of the Sony studios have been hella overrated
Bloodborne obviously a classic game, but outside of that a majority of the best games from every generation are multi-platform
