Social media culture is stupid

So since everyone agrees with this who are the people that retweet those tweets and give them 100s of thousands of rts and likes???? Since everyone is on the same page and agrees

People want to feel like they are doing something by being on that Cancel Wave.

What kills it is, people are never consistent when someone they like does something problematic, versus when it's someone they don't like and will never like.

If you aren't going to be unbiased with the way that you judge others then you're better off not criticizing them harshly at all tbh.

but yes cancelling someone over some tweets they made a few years ago is dumb

though idk anyone who's actually had their career affected completely by it so eh
