Pretty much the same s***, though Canada’s got free health care + legal marijuana. (Which are pretty big key factors).

U.S has a VASTLY better army + defence system, which Canadians benefit from as well (it’s in the US’s IMMEDIATE geopolitical interest to protect Canada from any attack).

Canada is loved/respected on the world stage (due to humanitarian efforts, although that might change recently with the s*** happening), US is more feared & given berth due to intimidation (which is fine as well tbh).

Canada exports a s*** ton of gas fuel from its oil sands to US.

All in all, it’s apples to oranges. Yes, it’s the same capitalist/western society, but Canada’s got free healthcare + legal marijuana.

When i think of "budget" i think of standard of living. We pay more for less over here in my opinion. I do believe our health care system is better, but it still has a TON of issues that we can fix.

of course Ontario and BC aren't the ONLY places in Canada, but that article is a lot to digest

Yeah but that goes back to my point right, why the hell is Hamilton's standard of living higher then Chicago, NY, LA, SF etc.. Even Toronto. There's no reason for that to be the case.
