All his guests are moronic just like him.
You are the company you keep and Joe is a certified dumbass.

She wanted to fool people at a Halloween party apparently
'I was walking down Hollywood Boulevard (when) a black guy walked by me with a diddy-bop kind of step, and said in the most wonderful way, 'Lookin' good, sister, lookin' gooood'," she told Q Magazine in 1988.
His spirit was infectious and I thought, I'll go as him. I bought the make-up, the wig… sleazy hat and a sleazy suit and that night I went to a Halloween party and nobody knew it was me.'
Man I just know she did the voice too
Kanye isn't exactly known for being all there.
I've never even heard of Joni Mitchell outside of when I asked my mom what artists she likes. I ain't even tryna be mean, like, it's their decision what they want to tolerate from the companies they let use their music, but it's just so evil to me to try to silence someone else's art and ruin their livelihoods. No, I don't like Rogan, but even clowns have the right to honk.
Not only that, but imagine if Spotify existed in like, the 60s. You know some cracker ass artists would pull their s*** because of civil rights anthems being on the service as well. And like, these are two very different situations, I know, but the concept is the same: the powerful and already established using their weight and power to try to silence things they don't like, and it's absolutely vile to me in any situation.
i know you not comparing racism to someone peddling pseudoscientific hoopla
Spotify lost 14 billion in market share this week since Neil called them out
that’s a general trend in the technology sector atm
Weird thing about Rogan is that for years he was just a silly dude whose podcast was pretty inconsequential stuff. Like I know/knew a lot of people who listened to it from communists to wannabe mma fighter dudebros. I think people kinda overstate his tangible influence but there's no doubt that there is a cohort of people that derive too much of their views from his show and also that he's skewed in a fairly reactionary way (prob partly out of contrarianism as much as anything) post trump election.
Tbh if people don't want to share or use a platform where he's actively paid money to be on then that's their perogative
P interesting that both Mitchell and Young survived polio too and that that may have influenced their views on stuff like this. Feel like that has gotten less airtime here than stuff about people being justified in not getting vaccinated cos they learned about Tuskegee 60 years after the fact like in 2020
Lmfao these companies will ALWAYS choose profits over ethics, don't these performative idiots know how corporations work?
Right. They acting this is the only company doing this
Fantano cancelling Spotify like he doesn't live off YT which is way more responsible for spreading misinformation than Spotify

The saddest part is that anti-vax morons are spreading misinformation about the Tuskegee experiment
Nobody wanna talk about how Neil Young and Joni Mitchell are polio survivors cause that destroys the narrative that they're just performative grumpy old white people.

I never said that they would be the same level of bad; the hypothetical is clearly worse, but sometimes people need a more extreme example to better comprehend the basic idea.

Joe Rogan is on YouTube too and they will never cancel his s***
