I wasn’t talking about these artists I meant that some big artists would. I don’t know old music like that so I can’t name names, but you know some crusty ass old racist with huge pull woulda been pulling their s*** over Change Gon Come and s***.
Also when I said cracker ass I was referring to racist white people. Nonracist white people aren’t “crackers” in my book.

I can't think of any examples of someone doing that but I guess so, quite the culture war going on back then. When Elvis dedicated this performance to Martin Luther King after he was murdered in 1968 his whole entourage of crackers were telling him not to do it because it would estrange his redneck fans but Elvis didn't give a f*** I prefer those stories. Johnny Cash was the same.

Yeah, positive stories are definitely better imho. I feel like the original point might have gotten lost with my a***ogy though, lol.
I was trying to say even if you might support pulling music for a good reason it’s important to remember that it won’t always be for a good reason and that’s part of the reason I don’t support it, since who really has the right to decide what “a good reason” is in the first place

Apologies for going to this a***ogy but I watch a lot of old movies and it's kinda like the other amazing German actors and directors refusing to work with the "well-poisoners" that were doing propeganda for Goebbels and Hitler in the 30s as humans they reserved the right to say f*** that they had to take off to France or England or America tho not just another label

Man is still getting paid $100 million to shill disinformation to fools like you. Nobody is deplatforming him. And even if they did, nobody is stopping him from going to a different platform.

Artists with rights to their music are simply doing what they feel like with the music they own and people are either responding with their monthly payment or not.
