So Basically what happened is I booked an avant premiere for Anette and it was a package with the opening ceremony and at the end of the ceremony after they presented the jury led by Spike Lee they showed a 1mn clip of all the movies the last one was Vortex it wasnt in a form of a trailrr it was a one minute scene Basically it was Dario Argento and his movie partner a old lady that plays his wife talking about non sense. The movie is about two old people going senile if you saw Noe early work like Carne and Stand Alone I think he is going back to that
Thats why I said it gives me those really creepy vibes

Honestly guys the preview was only one minute and I already felt uncomfortable Noe is back at his best I think
I think it could be a mix of Carne and Love if its like that then People are going to crazy lol
You know how they are with elderly people especially in France.
ALSO apparently its his biggest budget yet which is odd with what I saw but itz 142 minutes long so therr has to be morr than just that.
And it will be shown at Locarno festival
But what I Saw with Anette yesterday was so Refreshing honestly a Great work of Art Leos Carax last movie was in 2012 Im glad he took his time and I cant say it enough about Adam Driver performance but WOW

I plan on seeing it in theaters if i have that option, but it's a toss up whether or not one of the independent theaters in my area will be playing it unfortunately.
But i figured i'd post its streaming release info anyway cause the majority of the U.S. wont be able to see it in theaters :'(

Yeah I completely understand it . You cant imagine how Happy I was when they announced this Carax movie litteraly got 2 movies in 22 years since Pola X 1999. Besides his short in Tokyo-2008.
Im telling you if you can make it to a bigger town who got it in theaters while you on vacation or something figure it out. A carax movie is very rare make it right.
But if you cant of course set your place up perfectly lol
Damn
it'll be picked up by stockholm film festival for sure anyways if it doesn't make it theatrically until fall. hate to wait that long but idgaf. i just really got into carax as well. i had only seen holy motors before and since january i've been knocking down his films. too good

Yeah watch Mr X (2014) its a documentary about his work incredible.
I was just like you 2 years ago Holy Motors f***ed me up then I started to watch all his movies chronologically.
Anette is a continuation of Holy Motors especially with the last 2 segments of Holy Motors Kylie Minogue Singing. And the chimpanzee scene

Oh for sure. Im a big fan of his so if there's a screening within 25-30 miles of my place then i'm gonna be there haha
Do you know when it's supposed to be starting in theaters? Since the prime video streaming release is only 6 weeks away, i'm wondering if its gonna hit theaters at the same time (instead of a couple weeks before)
