Im not rly interested in a communism lecture as much as im trying to highlight a very specific flaw in the system that i dont think most people have considered
Karl Marx understood capitalism more than most capitalists
If you want some more modern/digestible takes on capitalism I’d look into Robert Reich I think he even has a documentary on Netflix
Im not rly interested in a communism lecture as much as im trying to highlight a very specific flaw in the system that i dont think most people have considered
kapital is much more a critique of then-prominent political economy and a***ysis of generalised commodity production rather than a manifesto towards one system or another
it’s kind of ludicrous even ignoring Marx there’s centuries of bourgeois economists who have already had this debate and it’s been debunked and rehashed and debated 200 years ago

Genuine question tho why would you not be interested in the ideas of people who considered this flaw and a***yzed the system most thoroughly for over a century already

Its not that im not interested i just dont have time for all that rn
one thing I hate about capitalism, at least within the structure of work, is that the goal is always maximize profits and minimize expenses. that means if they can get a guy who can do 3 different jobs and pay him as if he was doing one, they will do that especially if that said employee doesn't push back on it.
profits over people at all costs

Yea this is why i believe the stock market should be abolished

the system creates a people with no empathy and no real morals. business is just business.
of course, im not a huge marx fan tho, i think we need a hybrid system
one thing i strongly believe is complicated problems require complicated solutions. we need a system that is atleast partially democratic but also managed carefully by people with advanced knowledge/intellect/compassion
marx sort of just picks the opposite extreme of capitalism which is equally dangerous
what youre describing existed, it was called socialism. every middle class person has this moment youre having where you realize the system doesn't work, the correct thing to do is to take it seriously and overthrow the system.

Isnt this what they do in europe? I think that mentality would do well for americans, too bad most americans seem to be too selfish and racist to care

no country in Europe is socialist man they just have a larger social safety net and better regulation. They’re all capitalist. US should definitely emulate them more tho

banana nazi is a usaid shill he dont care bout none of this
Capitalism's biggest flaw is that it's an exploitative, destructive system that eventually swallows and destroys everything it comes into contact with.

I have told multiple ppl i want to join antifa so i think im on the right track as far as becoming a revolutionary goes
anyway OP you seem genuinely smart so I will take your op seriously. you have stumbled upon a marxist concept called "the reserve army of labor", its an old as dirt critique of one of capitalism's basic internal contradictions which drive it toward crisis and yes, Marx and Engels wrote about it a lot.
this why people were telling you to read Capital, it comes up in chapter 25.
