Last album was great

listened to Hollywood

i'll wait for the album, but i'm more than perplex about Andrew's contributions to the new music

not really feeling the newest track

Twin fantasy was soundtrack of my senior yr of highschool but so far all three singles been disappointing

was gonna stop after the first 2 singles & wait for the rest of the album but I gave in to listening to “Hollywood” after seeing very negative reactions to it....... yeah, not really sure what the f*** he was thinking there. It has great elements to it but f***, they’re executed so poorly.

And then there’s elements of the song that are straight up unsalvageable, like the vocals where he’s singing but also kinda sorta rapping at the same time, and the extremely corny “Hollywood makes me want to puuuuke!!!” line.

The song as a whole reminds me of something that would’ve been on the latest Jack White album that dropped a couple years back.

Martin is really good grew on me

Rest are pretty bad

that andrew guy is absolutely terrible. he deserves to be kicked out of the band for this. this guy is up his own ass and thinks he's nick cannon hilarious if you follow his instagram. probably bullied will to include his s***ty songs. no doubt he is the reason for why this album sucks so bad

don't want to be mean, but andrew thinks he's a better artist than that what he really is

The digital version is better than the vinyl IMO but neither is even close to what Will is capable of.

this album isn't a total fiasco, but for sure their worst on Matador

still opens interesting perspectives for the future. but for now the level of their electronic experimentations is weak tbh

Starting to listen now, wasn't big on Can't Cool Me Down but hope this is good

Edit: Yeah this is not their best. Weightlifters and Martin are really good, but definitely not feeling the rest. Feels like Will had some vague idea to go electronic but didn't know where to go with it

Still enjoyable in its own right (cus CSH/Will) and a brownie point for attempt to switch things up but yea this largely was underwhelming

Still will forward to what's to come next, this one not going to hurt my expectation too much tbh

weightlifters, life worth missing, tmbmtb, hymn all resonated with me real deep

will doesn't miss imo, don't read reviews anymore so this is my untarnished opinion

good album. took a couple listens but it’s a heavy grower.

I really like Can't Cool Me Down, Deadlines (Hostile) and some other tracks. Nice change of pace for them. I hope the songwriting gets a bit stronger for me on the future projects but I appreciate this.

Yo can y'all stop posting these albums in the general music section and start posting them in the Indie section ffs? I keep finding about s*** so much later than I did on KTT1 cause y'all trash at organizing s*** on here

Anyway, I agree that this isn't as good as their past stuff, but I totally disagree about it being bad. It's got a lot of super enjoyable songs on it, nice melodies, and pretty interesting production.
