It's not that deep. A person can't not want someone on the album? I'm sure there's someone that you'd feel the same way about if you thought they'd be on Drake's album. Chill.

Durk is a lot more versatile than Lil Baby. Personally, I think Lil Baby is a dope rapper. I just hate the way he uses autotune. Makes it very hard to listen to his s*** and I don't wanna have to deal with that on the album, that's all.

I don't even like that Laugh Now Cry Later is on the album and I think it's a great song, just not the direction I'm hoping for the album.

How did you just read my mind?

I came around to Laugh Now Cry Later as a song but I still don't think it's a great single, yet alone a great lead single, despite it's performance. It still feels like a one-off song Drake just made, got excited about and decided to release as a single because he wanted a new single out. I don't want it on CLB either but my guess is it stays on the album just off the songs performance and the Grammy noms.

Not really. Knowing how drake doesn’t just throw people on his albums for the f*** of it I’m expecting fire and interested to see how hard they went

And people who don’t fux with Baby ain’t connected to the culture I feel like. Skreeets love Baby.

You do know it's possible to f*** with Lil Baby but not want him on Drake's album, right? I feel the same way about DaBaby. I f*** with his music but I wouldn't want him on Drake's album either.

Also, you would be fine with ANYONE being on Drake's album? Even someone you don't like? There isn't anyone you wouldn't want on a Drake album?

For me, I never said they couldn't work together. I'm all for that. But keep that as a feature on Lil Baby's own project or if/when he does another side project like DLDT, throw songs/collabs like that on there. I liked the many collabs on DLDT because it fit the sound/style of the project. Albums should be a little more tight.

  • Cardo deleted the post from his IG stories. Lil nigga can't seem to keep his mouth shut whenever he's worked with Drake.

Honestly I'm hoping he relegates it to just a promotional single and releases the real first single soon off of performance. I know it was in the top 5 and 10 for a minute but that's expected of a Drake single already. You know what's also expected of a Drake single? Going number 1, which it failed to do.

To be fair unexpected viral hit s*** like WAP came out of nowhere and blocked him but still Drizzy going into album number 6ix without a number 1 first single? I don't know about that. And I really hope in this scenario the single will be more... I don't really how to describe it... maybe soulful? Idk Something more creative, culture shifting and/or left field. Something where even if it doesn't go number 1, it gets critical acclaim at least. Shoutout to Laugh Now Cry Later though it is a bop.

Any rational person shouldnt expect a Drake single to go #1 everytime

Its only happened with 2 albums :

    One Dance - Views
    Gods Plan/NFW - Scorpion

LNCL did its thing and got that “critical acclaim” (multple end year best songs lists). He doesnt need a 2nd single imo

Actually any rational person would expect at least his first-second single before the album to go number 1. Those two albums you mentioned was his last two. So why is it crazy to assume that ever since said last two album he is at enough a popularity level to go number 1 again for every album from now on?

And Laugh Now Cry Later didn't get critical acclaim for being any of the things I said/meant (creativity, culture shifting, unique, high quality). It got good reviews because it's the first song those guys have liked from in a while. Not the same thing, honestly one the worst type of good review you could get since it suggests you haven't been dropping enough universal enjoyable music for the masses for a while. Plus it ain't like a lot of great music came out in this wack ass year so not much competition.

I don't think he needs any singles off CLB to go #1. I also hope LNCL gets scrapped but only because it doesn't work as a lead single for me. I don't need Lil Durk or any other Lil anything on a Drake lead single and I DEFINITELY don't need any more songs of Drake sending shots at Kanye, yet alone on a lead single. Leave that s*** alone and keep it off CLB.

If he still has any hard feelings about Kanye, he should resolve it on his own personal time and in the privacy of his personal life. Fans don't need that s*** and definitely not on the first Drake album in almost 3 years.

Not every Drake single will or should go #1. People might not remember but he only scored his first single as a lead artist 4 years ago. He went 7 years without a #1 hit as a lead artist and he was more than fine. To add to that, I'd pick a single that peaks anywhere else in the top 10 apart from #1 but charts longer and has more consistency in performance that a single that reaches #1 but falls out the following week or in 3 weeks.

I think Life Is Good and LNLC are great examples that a #1 single doesn't really mean s*** anymore (if it doesn't serve longevity).

Life Is Good not going number 1 will forever be a tragedy. Drizzy was just unlucky this year. He got blocked by two monster hits in The Box and WAP. Hotline Bling all over again.

It deserved to go #1, same with LNCL, I agree with you on that, especially considering all the truly terrible songs that peaked at #1 this year, but I wouldn't call it a tragedy. They both got outdone by songs which were bigger at the moment. It can happen to anyone, even Drake. That doesn't take anything away from the songs and all they achieved.

Hopefully, he has better luck next year with his singles peaking higher but even if they don't, he's good.

You’re making it seem like its an L for it not to have gone #1 in an era where we’ve literally seen artists finesse the most with bundles, cash app giveaways, discounted CDs ( WAP, TROLLZ, FRANCHISE)

Having a #1 doesnt mean s*** anymore LNCL even outlasted WAP in the top 10

We’ve gotten some great music this year LNCL just stood out more bc ppl actually f***ed with it plus the video was dope. Now the reviews dont matter ? Lmao
