Wouldn't be making the thread otherwise.

Carissa's Wierd (intentionally spelled wrong) were a band who were active from 1995-2003. Beginning their journey in Tucson, the band would relocate to Seattle, settling down and releasing three albums:

Ugly But Honest: 1996-1999 - an album of miscellaneous songs recorded between 1996 and 1999, released in 2000. Their best album imo.

You Should Be At Home Here - a more fleshed out album featuring a full band this time, featuring Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses. Released in 2001.

Songs About Leaving - their most well-known album, this would be the band's last project before they broke up during the tour to promote this album. Released in 2003. Features a mournful, chamber-rock sound.

After breaking up in 2003, Mat and Ben would go on to form Band of Horses, with Mat leaving shortly after the release of Everything All The Time. Mat would then go on to form Grand Archives, who would release two albums on Sub Pop before breaking up in 2012.
Sera Cahoone has a successful career as a solo artist, releasing country and folk records since 2005.
Jenn Champion is known for her side project S, with a plethora of albums under that moniker alongside electronic releases under her name.

Mat and Jenn reunited to perform some CW songs in 2019, with a couple of shows in Seattle and Los Angeles. A New York show was scheduled for 2020 but was indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those shows are now underway, with an NYC show scheduled for November 16th 2025, off the back of an acoustic set at Dilly Dally Fest 3 in Philadelphia the day before.
