hey man relaxhim and uzi took this aesthetic and made it their own in a hip hop context, it seems less creative because countless rappers after 2016 started doing what they did

because their music, especially carti’s, is the literal modern-day semblance of it, that’s the whole point, but it also sounds completely different because instead of a guitar bass and drums he has these beats aka he’s putting a new creative spin on this style (the repetitive nature, aggression, and short runtimes of the songs only further supports this)

I wouldn't have a problem with this normally but the fact people consider him a top 5 is unbelievable. You cant stray entirely away from the roots of the genre and then have people claim you to be one of the best.
