second season was a letdown but pizzolatto worked on the first season scripts for like 10 years and he was given less than a year to follow it up
no doubt Cary is super talented and a big reason why season 1 is amazing but he’s made a lot of mid s*** too. if he was carrying most of the weight on season 1, his track record would be a lot better
