Larry Ishvalan FoxI kind of understand why he thought it was boring tbh. It’s a prequel to rogue one so we their isn’t really any tension. I understand how high the stakes are for the characters but as a viewer I never had that feeling tbh. Calling the show boring might be a bit much I get the sentiment.
I felt more tension in this show than I ever have watching literally any other Star Wars title in existence lol.
So many moments in this show I can think back to that gave real tension. When the little rebel team is waiting to do the heist and the Tie Fighters fly over head. That shot of the Fighter getting closer and closer and louder and louder. Never had a Tie Fighter felt like more of a legitimate threat.
Usually in Star Wars imperial presence feels pretty harmless tbh, with some exceptions of course but overall yeah I really do think this show has more tension than basically any Star Wars title

I agree that the first tie fighter scene was great but the one you’re talking about wasnt as good imo and I never thought the heist mission was going to fail tbh. I know I’m Being negative but I still think the show was great even though it lacked any tension. It was the first mature thing Disney has done with Star Wars and that alone made the show much better than anything they’ve done.

There's more characters then just Cassian so there is still a tension on screen since we don't know where they end up

Disagree completely. Luthen being there and hearing marvas speech and witnessing the rebellion taking place there on its own accord was a big moment for his character.

At first I really thought this was the most unnecessary Star Wars project ever but goddamn this was so good, one of my favorites shows of the year (barely surpassed by severance and better call Saul)
I hate the ending of rogue one because of this, and I used to love it
Gilroy should work in the next trilogy away from all the Skywalker drama
