I’m not saying they shouldn’t make that music or get they bag
But just cause they securing the bag doesn’t mean they above criticism. The criticism is valid
MAYBE the criticism would be valid if it were applied fairly but since very few people (and no people with any amount of reach) criticize male rappers for capitalizing on women's sexuality, it isn't.
even then, explain how it's irresponsible for female artists to make music that's relevant to their lives and their fans lives? how is it unprofessional when so much rap has hypersexuality bound into the lyrics? it seems to me like the only difference is that THAT is men making music that sexualizes women & THIS is women making music that sexualizes us
having a song titled Wet Ass P**** is the equivalent of having a song titled Big F***in D***
these hoes are so blatant with it goddam
would be a fire album
Imagine "Dark Fantasy" with CeeLo instead of Teyana Taylor
I have never and will never be given a reason as to why an adult woman openly expressing their sexuality as they choose is a bad thing
When thats your whole character its sad
Dudes in this thread will co-sign Ceelo, but celebrate/listen to male rappers who perpetuate violence, materialism, and toxic masculinity w/o saying a word.
bruv its not about being forced. s***sells thats jus the truth. these artist can get more number ones collaborating their pussies then they can get from making a ballad about love
All the goofies itt that say he speaking facts ain’t never made a thread or post about Rhapsody or Tierra Wack, Little Simz, or Lady London.
But because the women are talking about taking advantage of niggas, using them for money etc n throwing ass, instead of the niggas doing it, it’s suddenly immoral and too much?

Lol, thank you
Rapsody's streams should be skyrocketing if all these men feel this way
they're openly expressing their sexuality?
you don't hold the grounds over what is/isn't an expression of oneself lmao, tell me what qualifies as an "expression" to you?
Lol. There’s no nuance for starters

exactly lmao
yeah I see what you're saying and agree to an extent
I still believe there's a difference between signed artists that were chosen to fill a market and an artist signed for their artistry (the label believed in them and isn't on some bs from jump)
Also when said artist doesn't deliver on what they agreed to (recoup the budget, projections weren't met) I'm inclined to believe that that artist would have no choice but to follow a template or fall off.
We don't know the conditions of female rappers, maybe the fans demand this type of content at the expense of the artist even having the time to develop their individual artistry
Almost like they're factory workers... Idk
Good luck on your journey as an artist nonetheless
