Give your favorites their flowers while they can still smell them. Life is too short.
RIP X
All the real voices are fading away. Shoutout to Kanye for a beautiful performance. He's one of the last real ones for real
in times like today, hip-hop doesn't seem to value being "real". honestly the world as a whole, everybody just tries to keep up an image. maybe its always been like this & the internet just showcases it, but I think it's a growing concern.
Was it true that he told the camera men he didn’t wanna be filmed during the Kobe funeral?
never heard that but does sound like Jay tbh. he really lowkey about things.
Swizz right man we have to really appreciate the legends we have today no matter what age. cause you never know when it's their time

no that was Lebron
Swizz really got on stage called out the fakes, told everyone to get their wills in order, paid respect to X, thanked Ye and went off.
You could really tell he wasn't f***ing with some of the people that were there. Respect for him went up after that
Whole thing was beautiful. Really paid tribute to memory of X well. Hopefully the rest of his family can stick together, he's got loads of kids so it can't be easy
Thanks friend! Powerful words from Nas. Expected nothing less.
Do you also have Jay's and Ye's speeches?

Yeah Ye just had Sunday Service perform and he organized the show. Jay a private person so im not surprised he didn't say anything tbh. prob did a lot behind the scenes
It's finally hit me that he is gone. He was easily in my top 5 of all time. I always thought he would have one more hit eventually like an "All The Way Up" type hit.
DMX was like a superhero, but yet also so regular if that makes sense. There will never be another artist in hip-hop that will come close to the enigma that X was, he could make you want to rob and cry at the same time. I love Earl Simmons the man just as much as DMX the artist. He really was the peoples champ.

He was such a humble guy. When he was in jail he replied to fans' letters and also met some of them in person.
I made a lil EP with just the rework of Ruff Ryders Anthem and the Sunday Service prayer
I'm posting it here, I don't think it's against the rules but let me know and I'll remove the link
ruff ryders anthem sounds really RUFF but that's the stream's fault, I tried to remove some of the cuts that happened during the stream but it's far from perfect, but this version is really beautiful
