they are not smarter than you and me

they just were born to the right parents/lineages in the right countries and had a bit of luck

most of the world's billionaires are born from lineages of wealthy people and even supposed self-made billionaires come from families that were incredibly wealthy like bill gates who had the privilege of computer access as a child because of his high-society parents

im successful at what i do but im not retärded enough to think the people at the top of the economic food chain are the smartest or brightest

the white bourgeoisie will look after itself before letting meritocracy rule

most of the american gentry are old money new england families and antebellum south plantation class slaveholders

here in europe we still have literal royals and aristocrats with incredible land ownership

i know because i worked with them/for them with their taxes and so on
