Just remember IYRTITL was a surprise drop and look how successful that was. One of his best projects to date. I hope it’s a surprise drop tonight would be a big move

Drake hadn’t dropped a project in more than a year before IYRTITL and there was huge anticipation for new music because he’d announced the VFT6 title well in advance. This time he’s already dropped DLDT and a bunch of singles/features in recent months so idk if a surprise drop would have the same impact as in 2015, with casual listeners at least.

And even though his streams/numbers have been fine, idk if drake would risk having somewhat underwhelming numbers after DLDT and laugh now cry later missed no.1. If he has a massive first week it’ll shut up people claiming he’s losing his dominance.

Personally I feel he’d be better off doing a huge rollout like Views and making sure everyone knows he’s dropping. He had flooded the market before views as well with IYRTITL and WATTBA but the rollout and hints boosted the hype to fever pitch
