I'll never forget my time working at AMC during Black Panther's release.
Everyone would dress up like they were from Wakanda to enjoy that film. We had so many groups and local programs renting out entire auditoriums just to screen it for kids; it felt so good when we set up huge tables of popcorn tubs so they can just take as much as they'd want into the theater. Everyone was so damn happy; they'd even ask use employees to take their pictures for them.
So f***ing damaging man.

im not a big fan of the black panther movie, great villain, but the story and final battle was kinda mediocre
still It was very important culturally specially for black kids - it gave them strength and hope, when I was a kid I always dreamt of being Spider Man or Batman
a lot of my friends told me their younger brothers finally found a super hero they could look up too, that looked like them I always felt like Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne looked like me and they made me feel like superheroes too, why couldn't black kids have the same ?
black panther will always be the first big black super hero with his own movie, ( there were more but they weren't as big - blade wasn't a super hero )
Chadwick may have passed away but he's still here in a billion kids hearts

He’s so young man, i wonder if he has a family history of cancer. The recommended age to start getting colonoscopies is age 50, and he was nowhere near that when he was first diagnosed. Its so tragic, RIP
Yup. Colonoscopies save lives
The recommendation age is getting lower actual
Crazy dude was doing all this with stage 3 cancer
He was on his dilla s***, not letting a second of precious life go to waste. Massive respect to the king hope he can finally rest a little easy

and Jackie Robinson

What a f***ing experience this exact moment was. If y'all were in the theaters opening night/week you know how GOATed this entrance is
There’s a scene in Civil War where he talks about death not being the end, that it’s a stepping point to a place where you can run forever in green pastures peacefully

Y’all talking about the next Black Panther I’m pretty sure Disney would’ve already been aware of this

gotta collectively pick up the torch, no time and no tolerance for any of the s*** contrary to it
I’m really shocked. The man looked so youthful and healthy. Never would have suspected he had cancer. This is heartbreaking. Such a great man and a talented actor. A true star. RIP King
I cant imagine they shot anything that could even be formed into a proper send off tho. I have no idea how they work this
They did a really good job of doing it for Stan Lee. Obviously different doing a cameo versus a whole movie, but I did not consider how the pandemic has probably frozen every movie's production.
Btw, I just saw they didnt have shooting planned until March 2021 so they probably have next to nothing
COVID absolutely f***ed everything. They couldnt have even got anything done even if he alerted them ahead of time
Black panther was probably the biggest entertainment cultural moment ever.
Never seen anything like it, wasn’t able to even see it for 2 weeks cause it was sold out everywhere by me.
