joker was never recasted because the continuity of the nolan films didnt need him anymore, heard rumors that he was going to be in rises but nolan decided to scrap the role

I remember waiting in line for Redbox one time behind a black mother with her kids and there was a poster for 21 Bridges low to the ground, like eye level to where a young kid would be and the kid just kept pointing at the poster and saying “T’Challa! T’Challa!”
