Plenty of riffs in the ending songs though and they're a f***ing jam
them matching ending 3 with the eternal devil fight was some peak s***
this chapter typifies why I love chainsaw man and denjis character. I relate to having ptsd and kinda not knowing how to exist outside of f\*\*\*ed up situations. At least that’s how I’m reading denjis behavior rn. He likes the pain
the pacing, story and art have fallen off a cliff since denji came back into the story, s\*\*\* was so much better when asa was the main focus
besides the some pages i think art critique as of late is pretty overblown ngl. i will say i think some of the character designs in this part are a bit uninspired compared to part 1, getting too much of same face syndrome.
the underlying message of stan / celebrity culture in this part is a pretty interesting premise but still kinda waiting on where its gonna lead to
not sold on fumiko as a character yet but id be lying if i said fujimoto didnt cook with this fit

Hate to say this but after I started to read Dandadan again I think its very clear that Yukinobu Tatsu was doing a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the art

Werent the guys that made spy x family and hells paradise also helping him on Fire Punch
He definitely needs new assistant. Just cause of the fact that all of them go on to make awesome series of themselves
Honestly I enjoy this trend of mangaka taking assistants I believe Kohei Horikoshi has like basically an entire team and it definitely shows off in the art! Also soo much better than mangaka basically dying from backpain and getting other diseases from the scheduling pressure over decades.
Now if only many of these old school mangaka werent too prideful to get assistants...

Honestly I don’t know much about the whole process of releasing chapters but I thought it was common that mangakas have quite a few assistants, just made sense to me with how harsh the schedule is.
Would be nice if Fujimoto got some more help but I remember reading a thread a while ago that being an assistant is really passion driven and with how low the pay is finding one can be difficult

I ordered and read all of part 1 in about a month so this dripfeeding chapter by chapter thing kinda sucks. It’s blueballsy and does make the story feel sluggish. I might just wait on reading til it’s like a few volumes worth of story to get thru.

Was not expecting to open a link to “gay p*** manga”
I know he currently still has assistants but in the article it mentions that this assistant is responsible for background art - its possible that he is just lacking assistants in other areas when it comes to drawing

do we even know how much work these guys did in terms of art like i think u guys might be giving them way too much credit (not to say they did nothing but yea)
