No man like I get it, but all the good mangas don’t even release consistently anymore. I miss when you wouldn’t have so many breaks. Now every popular mangaka has health issues. It sucks

Like Gege takes a break off one or twice every month. Fuji releases damn near biweekly. Oda might just take a month off. Then Kishi releases monthly. Togashi is hiatus x hiatus. And I don’t even like mha or bc but one releases every four months and the other has 10-15 page chapters. All related to health issues. Is there one popular manga with a healthy writer right now? Wtf going on

I honestly think bi weekly as much as I do prefer weekly’s is a more healthy option that keeps fans satisfied and gives the mangaka’s at least a lil leniency

Monthly isn’t an enjoyable way to consume any story imo

It’s not even possible with Shonen Jump, since they axe stories so quickly that you need to prove your stay fast. Unless you are selling like crazy, but a lot of mangas need to find their footing with releasing more chapters. Plus biweekly releases literally mean we would be half of where we are with OP of it started that way lol biweekly releases to me mean stories will need to be much shorter.

It’s tough man. There’s no real fix to the culture. I think biweekly is just the only humane way of doing it while keeping people entertained. Monthly is a slog and weekly is killing these folks

TG:Re was so good until the mangaka basically had to s*** out an ending bc he couldn’t do it at that pace anymore
