Is it because you think denji's character regressed?

nah not that (even though i would welcome him wising up a bit after his past experiences, ive already accepted that this is who denji is for better or worse)
my issue is how abruptly that whole aging devil thing ended. i was fully on board with everything leading up until that point and it just gets "resolved" like that? im on the fence now for whats come but idk it just fell flat for me especially with all the new stuff fujimoto introduced there
"Had you intended to bring me here from the start?"
So Public Safety's goal was to lure out Aging Devil and trick it in order to weaken Death's army

The ending leading to the bar convo felt abrupt and i think it was for comic relief sorta, so i can see that being jarring. But i liked it. The whole fight, if you can call it that, from beginning to end was some unpredictable s\*\*\* and the resolution reflects that. It's an ironic conclusion that funnily doesnt end in aging's death, and while there are some questions mainly about fumiko's ability (?) and yoshida's devil powers, they'll get answers eventually and imo add to the intrigue of those final moments, but maybe not getting answers makes those moments questionable or confusing so i get it. I especially loved denji showing he's got brains in his own way since he came up with the plan in the first place.
Overall i love how the fights in this part are more psychological instead of violent and gruesome like last part, another thing that diversifies the two and what each part focused on. And even then, chainsaw man still goes out sometimes so the series doesnt completely lose its spirit.
