There was something so strange about Makima the whole movie I just don’t know (anime only)
Lost all her season 1 aura 💔
Thanks guys
Where’s the best place to read the manga
weebcentral.com/chapters/01J76XZ1BXVF936JYNCR7GFKKQ
has the entire series in the highest quality possible, the best translation, and gets updated regularly, same goes for any other manga
You know, for like a fully fleshed out romance arc that has plot, all you have is
Vegeta/Bulma
Eren/Mikasa
Simon/Nia
Inuyasha/Kagome
for the competing pairs. So your claim isn't that hard to argue for lmao
You're right i should be more controversial.
This is one of the greatest love stories in manga history
Part 1 collection i ordered coming next week, the reread + part 2 catch up gon be historical

Semi-related and nitpicky af, but I really wish they’d done this scene justice in the anime. They made her look so unthreatening.

This looks 95% the same except a slight lighting difference though

Nah, I disagree - it’s the way the clothes fit her, and her expression.
I know I’m nitpicking, but at the time I had just read the chapter, and I remember being disappointed by how it looked in the anime.
JJK has my heart off that mahoraga s*** but I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this movie a lot
The show was fire too, I liked the juxtaposition between the slightly more realistic 2d and the 3d
the OST is so damn good. Cant stop listening to in the pool
I still tear up with that + in the sea + reze so im just listening to the battle tracks right now, workouts go crazy with ride the storm and eye of the typhoon
Couldn’t have asked for a better adaptation. Movie really left no room in showing Reze’s clear affection for Denji and her internal conflict. Beneath all the chaos and spectacle, what really stuck to me was the sheer humanity between the two.
Her convo with him about not going to school (after that reveal) felt like she was really talking to herself. I also loved the butterfly trapped in the spider’s web motif; it works both ways. On one hand, Reze is clearly setting a trap for Denji, but on the other hand, the opposite is true too. The fight at the end (Denji wrapping himself and her with his chains) made it clear that Reze was also being lured by Denji without knowing it. Two ppl trying to make sense of their feelings and circumstances felt so human and grounded. All you’re left with is a bittersweet ending with a haunting soundtrack. Absolutely perfect, can’t wait to see it tmrw, and the day after that.
Did not know Hikaru Utada did the duet for the closing theme, legend

If you wanna read the colored version : you-okay-bro.github.io/CSM/Manga/Index.html
Love how Reze backstory is not just thrust in our face but we just those small scenes where the veil is lifted at school and just a tiny bit of info from kishibe at the end and the final moments of the movie. That’s all we need to put everything together and understand her as a character
Sooooooo much better than slogging down the story with flashback and flashback tryna create villain pity parties
I wanna see this s*** again but idk if it’s still showing
