One of the coolest art styles for an anime I’ve ever seems what are people on about….

is this one of those things where someone is making up something to be mad about?

really the only complaint I've seen so far was some lackluster CGI in episode 1. Episodes 2 and 3 have been very well received.

Straight up, but srs anime and manga are different media there are s*** that will always work better in the manga than anime and vice versa. Embracing it is what’s up.

This why I get weirded out when folk act like an anime adaptation makes reading the manga/LN redundant. Mfs need to do something with they life besides whinin online.

Everything is slow and boring in the first 2-3 eps Chainsaw man doesn’t really pick up until the eternity devil and katana man portions that said I’ve been enjoying this s*** so far

VAs sound like they took benadryl before stepping into the booth, the comedic bits are just miss timed and those slow cinematic shots are cool but the characters look stiff and emotionless during it so it doesn't hit for me.
The manga is slow burn at the start yeah but not boring, those things are not mutually inclusive.
Hope I get to enjoy it more too, def pains me rn because I love the manga

So far it's ok, but the beginning of the manga wasn't really amazing either, latter half of S1 should be good

The VA’s were told to not ham it up anime style I respect it, gives it a more realistic tone but I get why some people don’t like it

I’m not a big fan of the treadmill looking running that goes on in the hanami fight and also in this episode. Just looks weird

Beautiful episode tho and I like that they extended the fight a lil bit and added extra scenes. They had Denji acting a fool in that fight, love to see it.

I’m wondering if they’re going to be able to get to chapter 39 tho which is where I thought they’d end it

I think what “ruins” the pacing for manga readers is that they are constantly anticipating big moments to occur. Chainsaw man is also a speed demon read which extremely warps the speed of plot point for readers . The pacing is actually great in terms of the anime medium that has to add motion, voice acting and ambience .

I feel like most of the people who are complaining about things in this adaptation want it to fall in line and be like every other shonen.

I’m glad we have rookie VA’s, no gag faces, cinematic direction weekly, no forced shot of powers feet at the end. Feels fresh.
