If Chance kept frequently dropping loosies and ep's the fans would not have had such a strong hate for him after TBD even though it was pretty weak. I'll give him credit he was doing this for a short while in 2018, songs like Groceries w/ TisaKorean, Might Need Security, Idea, etc. but outside of those and the Jeremih Christmas collab album it was a drought fr.
The Big Day on top of all that + him telling his fan to 'eat a d***' definitely hurt him. and after all that damage, he decided to go into hiding for 2 years instead of dropping a couple hot tracks in the meantime.
