https://twitter.com/chancetherapper/status/1503376534249385997Does he have a huge backlog of these and they don't sell so he's going the Kanye boots approach?
I’ll give it a chance, no pun intended. All the snippets and features he’s dropped recently have been miles ahead of his 2019 s*** so I’ll give it a listen before I completely write him off
Denzel Curry getting the first listen of the night though
That’s what i meant with the last paragraph.
Like The Big Day could’ve delved into so much. 4:44 painted a realistic picture of what love and redemption was. Big Day just felt so juvenile and surface level in return.
Like the only track that barely gets at Chance’s stepping out was We Go High (and why, it is one of the best songs on that album)
I know I’m blabbering about this s*** but man, this s*** was legit dissapointing like, I don’t usually feel that towards projects (besides crash talk) unless I was like really f***ing with dude (i got memories bumping surf and freaking out hearing Badu uncredited for crying out loud) but this like really was a letdown of an owbum.
And you end the whole thing on a Nicki verse? The nigga that up til then was 10/10 on closers?
honestly the nicki verse was one of the few memorable (in a good way) moments, she snapped even if it was weird that it was the very last thing on the album
I think he can release a good project. big day getting panned should’ve lit a fire under him
get off the internet weirdo lmao
You’re literally on an Internet forum criticising other people for discussing music online? Shut the f*** up lmao, it’s a valid discussion point
Lot of yall honestly wanna see this nigga fail and it’s kinda weird.
Everything he’s put out since that heart song is 10/10.
Big Day was a flop. That’s true. But soooo many other rappers dropped flop albums and came back I don’t get what makes chance gotta be the exception for goodness sakes. Like, for the sake of good music I’d like someone who at the top of his game was giving us great music (blessings 2 hits different when you was graduating college that year) to do that again.
Chance split his fanbase by making christian music with his third album and then leaned heavily into it and a family branding style with Big Day while getting into it with fans online and splitting with his manager.
Add in that everyone from that Chicago crew kinda died down and it's no shock everyone turned.
He didn't just fall off he was awful to everyone while doing it
Crazy how much I stanned chance even the stuff people hated like Surf and now I don't even care bout him like that I didn't even know he had songs out

Surf is a great album I really enjoyed that, got me through a depressing time in my life

One of the biggest fall offs I’ve ever seen. After Acid Rap I thought he was gonna be the one
I have a feeling he has a classic on his hands. He needs to stop pretending to be a nice guy and try to make something as good as Acid Rap and not worry about the commercial success
he knows the rise of chloe hotline is inevitable so he’s dropping while he still has time

He was supposed to be Drake level by now and doing movies
as proven by like 5 people posting it in this thread all separately, if this album is anything like The Heart & The Tongue then it's going to be a crazy return to form. That song is still nuts. Hope he keeps that same energy from that single
2022 Late Registration dropping March 24
Then we in for a mega classic then
