big day has a bunch of moments where it sounds "fine" but the songs themselves don't work. it's a cacophony of bad ideas and messy performances. he's also shown the last few years he can easily not make these type of songs so it doesn't really make sense to even make a song like this at this point

Theres level to these things tho. A song with these elements doesn't necessarily make it bad like some of the big day songs were.

A few of the latest songs he dropped also have them, weird song structure, busy prod, strange feature placements, but they're still good songs.

The main problem with the big day songs were that they were just badly executed from a writing and production standpoint and content wise they were juvenile.
