Chance’s corniness has always been a part of him since the beginning but it was a side to the entree of great lyricism (so you always had at least 2 duds every album, including acid rap)

TBD, he took all the rapping away and turned up the corniness.

There are songs on here (space and time aka same d**** on barry bonds prime steroids, letters) that are better than that album dawg.

Ride is a great banger chance track lol

He dont be playing to his strengths sometimes when he tries the banger route.

This summer is a peak for rap albums and idk when its gonna end if Chance is getting in on it too

I dig the whole album.

just on first listen all the weakest moments are the more “mainstream” (for lack of a better term) efforts. Trees/Drapetomania/Gun in yo purse are my least favorites but the latter two still have really good verses

but when chance is in his bag on songs like Speed of Love or No More Old Men its unbelievable. His best rapping by far and a real grown up album.
