  • I was working days, but a supervisor raised a concern about me working on the shop floor with my asthma during this pandemic, which was a fair point.
I work in a supermarket, there's a lot of people.

So I took a week off (doctors cert) and I asked to go on nights instead (also on doctors cert), nights is better for me as it's just a few of us stacking shelves, no customers.

Now I've got 3 days next week, 3 spread out days. Monday, (No staff Tuesday), Wednesday and Saturday.
My sleep schedule is going to be f***ed.

The guy I swapped with was working 5 days.
They all were, and now 1 guy has 5 and 2 have 4.. those 4 have either the first or last day off too!

I feel like I'm being screwed with this..
I'm going to be an insomniac.. and unless I say something I can't see them changing it.. But my 6 month review is coming up and I don't want to lose my job..

I don't know what to do..

Should I just suck it up for this week and say something before next weeks rota is done? Or just wait and see how my hours are looking?

I used to work overnight at Walmart (10pm -7am), stocking frozen and dairy full time for about 2 years.

Surely you're able to work 3 overnight days.

No, I mean I want to work nights.
I want to work more nights.

I just don't want 1 day on, 1 day off, 1 day on, two days off - f*** that s***.

2 guys who started after me have gotten nicer hours - 4 day block, so when they're off theyre off.
I'll have to keep my schedule even when I'm not working nights, that's going to be a problem since I'm living with my 2 parents and 2 siblings, none of them are working..
