the three different parts of this song being stitched together shouldn’t work but it comes out so beautifully

for me i felt like it was just so experimental for a mainstream artist i didn’t blame people hating especially since his last album was beloved but they waited a while too. tbh rn i still don’t see the hate maybe there’s one or two iffy songs but the rest is really good

purity as the outro with the lauryn hill/dean blunt sample is top 5 rocky

those songs alone better than changes foh with that s***. guitar tone on it is as annoying as the intro “changes” delivery. beat switch saves the song. second half is a lot better than the first.

but that first half of the song, at least up until the UGK interpolation, is trash non arguable

cant let you disrespect the first half of the song that somber s*** is beautiful and is a great build up until the second part of that song kicks in with those huge drums

Great song and great album.

Such a perfect and beautiful song. and not to be pretentious, but this is really some of the greatest psychedelia that’s been made in a really long time. Rocky and Hector deserve their flowers man

No other recent hip hop album besides Pablo had such interesting features. From Frank Ocean & FKA Twigs to Blood Orange & Carti. Sonically, you had dreamscape and nostalgic tracks like Kids Turned Out Fine & Changes to more conscious tracks like Purity.

Album even had some super lit tracks that bang in the whip like ASAP Forever, Praise Da Lord & a literal futuristic trap hit in Buck Shots.

The best part is that Rocky experimented and it all came together quite cohesively. He didn't need a 25 track, double album to do it. A clean 50 minute, 15 track album.

I wonder if they really happy or just gettin at me.......
