A truly top tier film one of the best of the decade. Park Chan Wook is one of the masters. The plot twists in this movie though

Park really curating one of the goat filmographies, Mr Vengeance, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Thirst, STOKER BABYYYYY (so underrated) and of course Handmaiden like Jesus not many people have gone on a run like this before yknow

still haven't looked into the differences between the two Handmaiden cuts though and I feel like I really should, anyone who has seen both who can comment?

one difference i read is that the extended version starts with the group of thieves scenes, so from the beginning u know the maiden is a thief, thats the only big difference i know of tbh

also how good is Thirst? I wanna watch it

Thirst is a grower, it takes so many left turns not just in terms of plot but also even moreso the tone can have some really radical shifts.

It's not as good as the other flicks I listed but it's still super interesting and a real enjoyable watch overall.
