Oct 13, 2020·edited·2 repliesFeel like this may apply to Thursday and Echoes of Silence, but House of Balloons is decidedly more pop than the latter two of the trilogy; its songwriting as a whole is tighter, the songs have bigger hooks, and it’s far less reliant on long form, improvisatory vocals and instrumentals in order to create the album’s unique “atmosphere”.
The only track on HOB that gets close to this long form songwriting style is the second half of Loft Music
That said though you can’t use one poster’s post as proof that your prediction is correct

TheklawOkay guys here’s my review for kiss land
Professional- 10/10. So far I was saying how repetitive this guy is, but this song is literally a f***ing story. “Now you know the value of a dollar, and I make enough of it to spend. I love the way you put yourself together. I love the way you make that body bend for me again” jeez. The last verse had even more lyrics that gave me chills
The town- 9/10. Okay I’ll be honest I had a hard time understanding him on this, and wasn’t a fan of the awkward beat switch but the “honey honey honey honey HONEEYYYYY PLEASE
” got me shook. Had to play that part back twice Adaptation- 7/10. Disappointed that the intro was not the chorus of the song. It would have been 10/10
Love in the sky- 8/10
the outro beat of adaptation is the main beat of love in the sky last verse was not good for me but very creative song Belong to the world- 20/10. Bro I had to sit up for this song
never heard such a painful song with such a sinister beat. I hate watching music videos but I watched all 7 minutes of this. Holy f***. Live for- 6/10 you can thank drake for ruining what could have been a master piece
Wanderlust- 4/10. Not a fan when he tries to be like MJ
Kiss land- 8/10. Second half was legendary. Absolutely legendary
Pretty- 5/10. I was really bored with this song. Chorus was meh too
Tears in the rain- 9/10. im surprised I liked this as much as I did since it was so repetitive. The bridge was beautiful! Also the repetitive long chorus was surprisingly very nice too
So I’m surprised this is his debut because this album is by far way more mature than anything I have heard. Storytelling was very well written. Also the rainy foreign nighttime atmosphere added to this run considering that it’s raining rn. Great album

Yeah, he’s made about 3 accounts since, and they all post in an identical manner.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was him. This new account doesn’t seem like a new poster to me.
