Thinking about something and I don't think I've seen this mentioned,the shoegaze influence in the mixing.
I love the purposely low mixing of the vocals on Alone Again and Too Late,reminds me of the way the vocals are mixed in shoegaze,almost like the voice is just another instrument added in the background,just to express the emotion of the moment.
I know a lot of people disliked that but to me just gave another uniqueness to the record,the more I come back the more I think about how big in sound this album is,and how it pulls from a lot of different genres while still capturing that captivating sound that makes The Weeknd who he is as an artist.
Can't wait for whats next man,I'm very excited.
