found it, it reminds me of As I Lay Me Down by Sophie B Hawkins
Checking it out now
Abel's best studio album
Lmao
It kinda is crazy to want an artist to make the same type of album for a decade.
Kanye didn’t make CD 6 times
Y’all act like Abel has released 5 HOB albums already. He hasn’t made anything close to trilogy sound wise since 2013.
The fact people can say this kind of s*** with a straight face is crazy to me.
Hardest To Love sounds like a hit, but I swear I've heard the melody before. Also the drums on it remind me of Craig Davids first album

craig david's first album is a classic
Yo this outro might be my favorite out of his
This one and privilege are top notch
I’m going to stop arguing tho, kind of sick of saying something and getting some autogenerated response back.

is the melody u hear possibly "take on me" ???
Critics please love this
the next one is gonna be nuts if they f*** with this
Will be interesting to see how long he’ll wait to drop another chapter. I’m sure this album took a long time to craft
Been playing this all night and it's a solid record but my biggest issue is that although the production is incredible, the album doesn't introduce anything new in the 2nd half.
It's essentially the same formula copy/pasted throughout all 14 songs. Heavy 80's synths, similar drum patterns and subject matter. On some tracks it's stripped back and on others it's maxed out. That's it.
There's still some great songs, some pop, others dark, well balanced, a solid structure but we never get that payoff like we did on albums like Blonde, MBDTF, Bait Ones, Untrue. Albums that kept us guessing.
Nice record and one that exceeded my expectations but not an instant classic.
this will go down as the album that saved the world in a pandemic
CAP, LUV VS TW 2 OUT NOW

Im not acting like that. I’m saying it’s a good thing that he hasn’t released 5 HOB lol.
I want him to make the type of music that he wants and reflects where he is in life. If he’s not on that HOB s*** anymore and wants to make pop classics then I’d rather him do that than force some dark aesthetic just for the sake of it.
Too Late is so underrated. Reminds me of 2012 UK Future Garage. Bondax, AlunaGeorge, Karma Kid, etc.

You know what the Hardest To Love chorus reminded me off ?

Lmao, there are similiar subtle melodies

agree with this

i think he likes the ep in between album idea now

Feel like we should all be just be happy that Abel's lifestyle hasn't caught up with him and he's still around to give us new albums
Hope this inspires drake to use heavier production on his next LP
