how do you check this?

It’s an app called snd.wave. It’s free, but you can pay for the advanced version. I think the only problem is it doesn’t fully collect the data as cleanly as Spotify etc does; being a third party app.

Edit: I’m also unsure if it will automatically be able to calculate your data prior to downloading the app, or if the app needs to be on your phone first and then the data is tracked freshly going from then onwards.
