I recognize that it’s a quality track but there’s something missing in it for me to really bring it all home for me I guess, whereas songs like Snowchild/Escape From LA/Until I Bleed Out hit me in all the right spaces

Ive come to the conclusion I think this is his most mature album.
listening to Scared to live again, Snowchild and AFTER HOURS. Weeknd is another lvl on this album form songwriting and singing ability.

Absolutely his most mature work yet. That’s why it’s so frustrating to see people say he’s been singing about the same s*** since 2011 when it’s a completely different outlook on his entire life lol

Kiss Land def got a lot of complexity and maturity in it too.

It was a f***ed up situation because IIRC Lance died from a d*** overdose, so if she went out the same way... I just hope she went off the grid or something

Tbh I think Kiss Land might be more mature than AH in the sense that he was taking such a big step forward in his life at the time. Going from TO to seeing the whole world in a year really changes a person

The title track is absolutely loved on online other than on this site. I’m certain it’s a top 3 for most people. Faith is almost certainly number 1, but then it’s a toss-up between After Hours and the big singles.
