How do you guys feel about that title statement/ ethos?
It always came to me as interesting, because ultimately its a more humanizing approach to storytelling
I always imagine shows like The Last Airbender where while the plot is pretty rudimentary, the focus on characters captivates people and draws in the audiences attention. The attention is drawn in on characters more so than spectacle, action, twists, or anything else for that matter.

A good character can make up for a s***ty plot, a good plot can’t make up for a s***ty character
A good character can make up for a s***ty plot, a good plot can’t make up for a s***ty character
This is facts
Both are merely approach in writing and neither is superior to the other. Each can better compliment certain genres though
"plot doesnt matter"
"i f***ing hate plot"
