Jay - pretty much every major rapper born in the 80s cites him as an influence and ideal they look up to, or just flat out mimicked him in some way

Pac - was the ultimate street rapper, made it so that black men between 98-03 had to be hyper masculine in order to have a mainstream presence. Two of the four names are variations of him in some way, on top of nearly every male megastar in rap in the early 2000s

Wayne and Ye are self explanatory

Wayne is the only name there more influential than Pac (and Wayne is a direct example of Pac’s influence)

Love Ye but, lyrically, Nas is more influential by far.

Musically is a totally different story though.

It really depends on how you look at it which is why I say he’s not head and shoulders above.there’s perspectives where you could say both are more influential

Illmatic can go against all of the yeezys

Right? I don’t even like Eminem anymore, haven’t listened to him in years.

But if you were alive and listened to rap during his peak, you know how big and influential he was.

I mean yeah if you’re just talking about new 2020-2022 rappers, his influence probably isn’t very big but if we are talking about the entire genre of rap and all the years…..

Eminem, 50 and Wayne had the biggest peaks of any rappers ever.

Eminem was one of the main reasons rap really went mainstream, he pushed it to the next level. Dude had an entire generation of guys dying their hair blonde.

The only thing influential means on KTT is did other rappers bite you and try to sound like you? When I hear influential, I think of everything, other rappers, fans, the genre in general.

Kanye had their entire world wearing his shoes and clothes and copying his style

    In the totality of rap

    From its inception until now
In terms of global influence and culture

Drake is higher up on that list than Tupac

and that’s no diss to pac.. he just got cut short when compared to others. Imagine if Kanye got killed after 808s

Sure. But there’s a tie breaker when you consider this includes some of the biggest rappers ever being obviously influenced by Jay in one way or another. That can not be included in that same statement for Nas

Haha, are you actually aware that Jay Z himself was influenced by Nas, as was Notorious BIG

He should probably be in front of Wayne in terms of influence.
