Nothing wrong with politics from artists, it's only when it seems attention seeking, contrived or not thought through. Which is really the biggest problem with Ye's politics. He never gave an actual reason for any of it.

But politics has literally inspired some of the best hip hop ever like Public Enemy. Artists making political statements has created some of the greatest moments in music. It's not like there's not a ton of apolitical mainstream music out there for when people don't want to hear it
