I think both are almost perfect 10/10 pop albums
But also massively different
I enjoy hifn more and it’s my aoty 2020.
Hifn has charli’s best song, forever. Charli has her most personified song, next level charli.
Charli is a great mixture of commercialized pop music mixed with some experimental choices, while being highly accessible. It’s like a futuristic throwback album. HIFN is more intimate and experimental.
Both albums are top 2 charli projects and blow everything she did prior
Pop 2 gets carried by production and has too many trash features.
Fr. Charli carried all the features on Pop 2. Tommy Cash, Jay Park and Dorian Electra almost ruined the songs with their trash ass verses
Charli is a blast, but it had feature overload and a few weaker tracks. I actually just listened to it again tonight without seeing this thread. I go back to it a lot.
HIFN though...it's one of the most intimate, fresh and consistent pop albums of recent years. The production is unbelievable and there's not a false step anywhere. Forever was SOTY hands down.
true romance > both of em
True Romance over everything except HIFN. Those are def my top 2.
How I’m feeling Now >
I really liked that she put "How I'm Feeling Now" up for remixes. I really thought I had one with my remix, but it never reached outside of my small audience
Listening to both for the first time rn back to back starting with how I’m feeling now. She’s a babe

I love Pop2 it does have a few meh features some songs would have been better with more Charli but it's probably still my second favorite project from her
good review tho yeah they're both classic pop albums hehe
I think the reasons why you listed is why I like Hifn more
