just speculating cuz i dont really know but i wonder if something changed significantly in her relationship with the label.

cuz it kinda does sound and feel like Brat is an album by an artist with total creative control

from the outside it seems like the relationship with atlantic got better from s/t onwards. in retrospect the fact that they even let her release HIFN basically on a whim seems like a testament to that.

in her the face interview she said she had talks with interscrope but she would be able to keep more of her masters if she stayed with atlantic

yeah as far as i'm aware the whole crash era was based around this idea of charli being 'forced' into making a straightforward poppy album by her label .

i'm sure she's had real problems with them over the years but a lot of it was played up for the storyline , loved it but it went over a lot of ppls heads @ the time

Similar sentiments. The singles are the best songs but there are dope non-singles as well. I just don't know if I'll be returning to them months down the line.

I agreed with this 100 percent three days ago, but man, these songs are growing on me like crazy. I love everything about this album now

There's fun songs for sure. I just gotta see if some of these songs will pass the test of time. We'll see. Most albums last like 1 month for me and then I never listen to the songs again.
