oh wait fr? the way she worded it in the zane lowe interview made me think it was about her cheating on him
they did break up tho right? i think i saw she’s with one of the 1975 guys now
Not sure about the breakup tbh. Lmao what which 1975 guy tho? Gotta Google this
fka rosalia and charli baby

George Daniel, he worked on the title track too
Fr. Day ones heard her in 2011. Nuclear Seasons
I Love It was a big hit on 2012 so technically i know her since that year tho
Gotta give it up to Charli and her team. Her promo, rollout and everything has been top notch for this album. The Red Vinyl looks so good I might cop
Love Yuck and Every Rule
But the rest feels like a dud to me. I have no problem with her going more in a 'normal' pop direction with the production, but the songwriting shouldn't have to become uninspired. Boom Clap and I Love It were mainstream pop songs but they were so much more memorable than this.
She definitely hasn't fallen off though, the next project will probably be back on the level of her last four

Feels like a shame she didn't get some of these looks for earlier albums. Charli was such a strong balance of timeless pop like Gone and what she'd been doing on Pop 2.
I see it How in feeling now is the mid album, this is her Thriller
How I'm Feeling Now is such an essential album though. Can't think of an album as mainstream as that that will be a time capsule for those lockdowns.
Also if it was her Thriller it would have more memorable singles. I don't any of these songs will become a standout of her career

The album came out recently even Thriller (single) didnt had success instantly
Are you kidding me?

I guess a song could grow like how Unlock It peaked years after it came out but I just don't hear anything memorable enough to do that
Maybe Yuck?
But her other albums already had clear standout singles by now. From a song, story and music perspective I just think this album will be forgotten so easily

Why?
Because is not experimental like Charli and How im feeling now?

No because it's not memorable songwriting
The best songs from Pop 2, Charli, How I'm Feeling Now etc. could be produced in the most mainstream style ever and they'd still be amazing because the songs are so good
I actually like some of her mainstream pop singles like I Love It, Boom Clap, 1999, Stay Away. But those songs are so much more memorable than songs as bland as Used to Know Me or Good Ones
