Really depends on what your going there for
If you want to experience a legit major world city go to Chicago no disrespect to Houston but public transportation urban density and much more is apart of that experience

If you want to go somewhere chill with a lot of nature and a more suburban vibe Denver

Nyc if you want fast paced life

Looking for a lively Music scene and enough to keep me engaged and interested for 2 years . I hear the crime in Chicago is bad but idk how true that is

I can’t speak on the crime but don’t let that deter you. That city has over 2.5 million people I believe not all of them are criminals
