It was my first time hearing it or even knowing about it like 1 or 2 months ago so i don’t know about the leaks. It’s my favorite keef proj for the time being but there’s still plenty i gotta check out

nah, f*** that. you niggas just say that cause it suits your current agenda. it is entirely possible for an artist to release a similar sounding project as successor no matter how much time goes by. especially, if he’s done similar stuff before (thot breaker).
and obviously there is still a noteable demand for that sound, otherwise this thread would be dead until release day. if you look at this thread alone you will see that many people still want that sound from him

Does Days Before Rodeo sound like rodeo? No! But it’s an amazing progression, and just because one doesn’t sound like the other doesn’t mean it’s bad

Sremm life 2 is way more laid back than Sremm life 1 and it works perfectly

Slime Season 3 was a victory lap where thug compressed and repackaged SS1-2 in a clean way.

DS2 had nothing to do with Dirty Sprite. It was Future kinda reintroducing himself commercially after the mixtape run and differentiating 2015+ from 2010-2014

And even those four change the direction in different ways. Travis was more ambitious while Sremm was more comfortable. Thug was making a summary while Future was ready for the next step

I see this as sosa blueprinting for the next decade. That’s what Almighty Sosa ended up being, and it would be far more useful and productive and personally compelling to view the project like that than a badly mixed project with hard beats.

TLDR Everything in art has been valued more on what it’s produced than what produced it. You should keep that in mind
