Glover is definitely in the top 1% of talented people
I don't love his albums but he's a really good screenwriter, plus he can sing, rap and act. The vast, vast majority of people can't do all of that at a high level.

because people who work in the industry, who are musicians, writers, been in actual studios, collaborated with other artists, etc. know exactly how music works
general public hear a ref track in someone else’s voice and immediately jump to “oh this person did the entirety of this work” when really we have no clue when that ref track happened in the creative process. you think drake dont got ref tracks he’s done for other artists? lets be real here
and since when is being consistent a bad thing? just because certain artists switch s*** up and some dont doesnt make the artist that doesnt switch up, inherently bad. there’s legends right now that have the same formula & sound since they debuted 20 years ago, and people still love em for it. what works for one artist, does not have to be applied to all artists
