His vocals sound cool on the cdq but the instrumental is what suffers mostly

The electric piano sound playing the opening melody instead of the horns sounds cheap instead of epic, that’s the most concrete part that should be changed on the cdq

The back up vocals and just the general vibe on the cdq ends up feeling like a Pharrell song, which isn’t bad by any means, but the live versions had more of an Earth Wind and Fire feeling. That sound truly just suited the song’s old school influence better
