wasn’t one of my favorite episodes of the show but still very solid. i liked the social commentary aspect of it and how it highlighted the illusion that is social media and celeb culture. Drake felt like a character himself and a natural vehicle for the show’s themes, even with him not being in it. the reveal that he’s Mexican had me dying because it fits perfectly in this show and is a nice reference to his culture vulture allegations. the plot surrounding him also parallels Alfred’s own dealings with fame, which is a huge part of S2 and probably the only consistent arc in the show as a whole.

and there were some funny moments. the scene w Van and the creepy lame nigga following her around the party was uncomfortably hilarious and true to life. i liked homegirl tripping off the edibles and kicking it w Darius, who pops out of nowhere

not to mention the controversial subplot with ol girl being pressed over the football player dating a white girl, which i loved. her behavior was totally out of pocket but the episode showed that she was 100% right in her a***ysis of that couple. i really dug that, even with the DG haters insisting that it was an attack on black women
