here's a Washington Post article that elaborates further on the discovery/a video with some drone shots/shots of the forest proper
basically they're saying there could be undiscovered ancient plants/animals but no actual reports have been mentioned so far
We really do not need whatever has been dwelling in there to come out into the surface world...
Kong finna come swinging STURDY out that hollow earth entry.
Caves like these have their own unique microclimates, meaning they can have their own rainstorms !
man I wish I was a discoverer, imagine those people that came there first (and even in other places like the pyramids and ancient cave systems) they're the real winners, found some big ass treasure and after they took it they reported the 'real discovery'

I think maybe some ancient plants can work, but animals seem unlikely with how "small" this place is compared to everything else.
No birds or flying bugs to fly in and out of the hole?

Wasn't this the plot for Godzilla 2?

We know more about space than we do about the bottom of the ocean
The newly explored sinkhole is almost definitely home to small animals, such as insects, that are currently unknown to scientists, he said.
Sinkholes such as these are also known in Chinese as Tiankeng, or "Heavenly pit."
At 630 feet deep, the sinkhole would hide the Washington Monument and then some. The bottom of the pit holds an ancient forest spanning nearly three football fields in length, with trees towering over 100 feet high. And according to the Chinese government, it is one of 30 enormous sinkholes in the county.
